Our Organization refers to the non- profit Amateur Sport Association “Incontro a cavallo” sited in the Province of Milan, that has been promoting initiatives of hippotherapy for disabled people and equine-assisted activities in order to develop the residual and transversal abilities of our special riders through the facilitation of the relationship with the noble animal, the horse.
What differentiates us from other partnerships that promote equine-assisted therapies is the attention used in order to create meeting opportunities – obviously due to the horse and to the equestrian sports – between the weaker subjects and the so-called “normal” world, that contributes to break down anachronistic walls of prejudice and promotes the inclusion of the most fragile people in the social fabric.
Our multi-year work serving those most in needs, combined with the ordinary work in the traditional equestrian education, have allowed us to obtain many feedbacks concerning what the horse can do for human well-being. These developments are centered on relational functionalities, psychomotor activation, support and cognitive and empathic-affective as well as other innovations.
The principles of inclusion mediated by the noble animal and the evolutionary aspect of our Integrated Equitation® in comparison with traditional hippotherapy for disabled people have allowed us to create the movement EQUITABILE® that today counts more than 150 trained technicians and about fifty affiliated centers and partners spread throughout the Italian territory.
From equine- assisted therapies to the team building with horses: two realities that meet each other
Many years of training and specific experience in the field which have been synergistically combined with a fortuitous number of professionals has allowed us to successfully create coaching and team building proposals with horses. This has lead to our ability to differentiate our proposals and help them to be more line with the needs of the market.
Our coaching and team building activities with horses also allows us to create sound bounds between our world, the non-profit sector and those companies that make use of our training services. These activities help in welcoming the values that distinguish us and will lead to a higher quality service. At the same time, we will support the Social through the horse while improving the conditions of many children and young people characterized by special needs.
